Went for a walk in the woods today with Yves, my little nephew. He's two years old, but walks and talks like a six-year old! If he keeps getting cuter at the current rate, in 12-14 years he'll blow all the girls away.... Pics here! |

It took some planning, but today I got to collect my 30th birthday present that I got from my brother and uncle. It was a foggy day with a lot of action at a traffic centre in Gouda. First we went offroad with small Suzukis in a rough terrain with mud pools and bricks to make the ride as comfortable as possible... After that we went for a spin on a specially prepared track. Purpose is to get your car under control during aquaplaning. Although we managed to do so alright, none of us scored a full 100% and the guys in the back seat bounced away on the ABS :) Pictures here! |

This week I'm staying at Les Fontaines, the Capgemini University just above Paris, France. Together with four colleagues, we will be training around 18 customer architects in Capgemini's architecture methodology. The week is centered around three core goals: learn, interact and have fun! Colleague Bert is actively capturing all our activities, resulting in some nice pictures. Nice to not have to be the photographer for once ;) |

 Just my luck: 2 weeks ago my manager called me to say that I was going to some Gartner event in november. Turned out to be Gartner's ITxpo 2005 which was held in Cannes, France. Well, time to pack my suitcase and head off to France for the 7th time this year ;). The event was held all week with around 168 presentations. I tried to attend as many "magic ball" sessions as possible to see what this crazy world is coming to, as well as some sessions on the softer side of things.

I just got back from a good night of partying in Germany. Next week a very good friend of mine is going to get married and we decided to take him to Nature One, a large-scale dance event at an Air Force rocket base just below Koblenz. It rocked! The atmosphere was very relaxed and open, no fuss or quarrels whatsoever. Everybody was having a good time including us. Party pictures can be found here. Stay tuned for the wedding :) |
