Alas, two weeks of relaxing and sunbathing are over. While it was pooring rain in little old Holland, I was enjoying the warm rays of the French and Italian sun. Kind of an exciting holiday as well, as it was the first one I spent with Davina. We've known eachother only a couple of months, but lucky for her she behaved, so I did not have to send her home on foot ;) More below!

Today I was invited to participate in the national Rabobank Volleyball tournament, a yearly spectacle of sport and fun. Well, we beat the odds, and won at least one game. I'll not mention the rest :) Here's the footage. |

After a number of years of decline in IT, our company is slowly crawling up again. Central staff thought it was appropriate to celebrate this with a large company party in Ahoy, Rotterdam. The event was themed in holiday style, with national and international halls set up for everybody (8000p) to stroll, relax, chat and have fun. The night was opened and closed with lots of music. Pictures here. |

This week is the Holland Open Software Conference, a 3-day event focussed on Open Source, Open Standards and Open Content. For more info see www.hollandopen.nl. Monday morning was very quiet so I took the opportunity to take some pictures. Maybe I'll add some later this week. |

Last weekend was (again) a long one, as we had Monday off because of Whitsun. The weather was really nice so it was a good opportunity to do something really nice. Belgium was the place to be and in particular the Brugge area. I read on the internet that they created this labyrinth at the Zeebrugge-beach, with tasks and puzzles to solve to get to the exit. It sounded like fun, and although mainly meant for kids, it really was! The rest of the weekend was spent in Brugge and again at the beach in Ostende. As usual, pictures say more than a thousand words... |
